Warner bros revealed the news at the San Diego Comic-Con last week and confirmed that the 13th December 2019 will see Wonder Woman 2 hit the cinemas. In an effort to maintain the DCEU continuity, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman in the next installment of the Wonder Woman reboot. The first movie was a huge financial success for Warner Bros, but also allowed DC fans to breathe a sigh of relief after the poorly reviewed efforts of Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman.
Director of the first Wonder Woman movie, Patty Jenkins, has yet to confirm whether she will direct the second installment, although talks are ongoing. Producers are keen to get Jenkins on board, given that the first movie was the highest-grossing live-action movie directed by a woman in history. Not only that, Wonder Woman was surpassed only by The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises in terms of revenue and Warner Bros will be keen to continue the success.
With the studios focusing on Justice League, which is set to hit cinemas this November, few details are known about the second Wonder Woman movie, although sources close to the studio claim that the movie will have a 1980’s setting. Circe and Silver Swan have also been identified as possible foes for Wonder Woman to do battle with. Given that a second Justice League movie will appear after Wonder Woman 2, it is likely that she will call in some help from a few friends.

Some blogs have even gone so far to say that Candice Accola from TVD has already been approached to play the Silver Swan, although this is of course, highly speculative.
