The hugely anticipated trailer for Blade Runner 2049 was released this morning and shows the return of Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, chasing a younger agent played by Ryan Gosling. The movie is going to be released year and promises to be an epic repeat of one of Harrison Ford’s most prominent roles.

Check out the trailer:

Ryan Goslings character, Officer K, appears to be in a similar role as Ford’s Rick Deckard as they hunt for robots pretending to be humans, or Replicants as they’re called. Fans of the original have been waiting for quite some time on this one as the development began as early as 1999. Ridley Scott, director of the original, was scheduled to direct Blade Runner 2049 but stepped back on the project to move into a production role. Sicario director, Denis Villeneuve, has taken over the reins.

Probably due to his physical condition, Ford’s character will only appear in the final third of the movie. Gosling will lead the movie with Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and the always committed Jared Leto in support.

“It’s like three movies that I usually make in one. Just in terms of the length and just the whole scope and experience. I’ve never done something so shrouded in secrecy or where there’s so much anticipation.” – Ryan Gosling
